What do marketplaces ask for in a main product photo?
Amazon's rules for the main image are the strictest and the most copied: a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), the product filling at least 85% of the image, no text, logos or borders, and at least 1,000 pixels on the longest side, with 1,600 or more recommended so buyers can zoom. JPEG is the recommended format.
Other marketplaces and shop platforms have their own rules, often lighter, but a white, square, well-filled photo is accepted almost everywhere. Check the seller help page of the marketplace you use before a big batch.
